Sweet stray cat forces his way into a full feline house, wins the warm hearts of the humans inside: 'I eventually gave up trying to keep him out'

There are so many ways to adopt a cat, and the Cat Distribution System knows them all. Some cats appear when the human needs them the most, and some humans arrive just in time to save a cat. Some adoptions happen overnight, and some take weeks of cat coercion to get that feline friend to become a feline family member. Each adoption is different from the next, but they're all the meowgical work of the mysterious CDS.

But you know what cat adoption stories we love reading about the most? The ones where the cat decides "I'm adopted. I live here now". And honestly, that's the most cat thing a cat can do. They decide something - so it must be the truth, set in stone. And seeing cats just being cats makes our hearts giggle. Especially if we're talking about a cat who decided on their new home, and this home accepts them with open arms. Even if it takes a few meows of convincing.

But worry not, fellow feline fanatic fans, because this cat we talk about is getting all the love, affection, and treats he desires. The Cat Distribution System didn't just send him - he practically acted as a cat agent of the CDS all by himself. Such an independent, tenacious, floofy, sweet boy. We hope he lives his happily ever after.

    Then it progressed to him emotionally manipulating me to give him a churo everyday. Now after a few weeks, he's taught himself how to come through the cat door.

    I feel sorry for him. He behaves like a normal cat and is very chatty so even though he's eartipped, he definitely had a home at one time.

  • Aww, he really is a sweet boy. A sweet boy who truly deserves a home, especially now when it's becoming colder and colder outside. We're sure the other cats will be fine eventually. It's worth giving this sweet boy a home.

    OP Sabu_Johnson Yes, he's definitely a supermodel cat. It's a shame he got eartipped. His intact ear has a really cute wisp of fur at the top.

    OP Sabu_Johnson It's meant to show that he's neutered. Somebody took him to the vet and got him neutered, then they released him back out on the street. It's meant to be used for feral cats that can't be adopted, but this guy is definitely an adoptable cat. I guess whoever got him neutered didn't realize that he's super friendly or they didn't have the time and/or resources to find a home for him.

    OP Sabu_Johnson I still don't know if he's someone's outside cat. He definitely is getting fed elsewhere. Sometimes he comes by and he's not hungry and he will just terrorize me for Churos. But he seems to spend the night outside. Last night was the first night where he came in and slept inside.
